Insulation
Well, the solar panels seem to be working OK. Today they heated the water in the tank to about 37 degrees - plenty warm enough for washing in. (Jon was brave enough to have a shower but I like it a bit hotter so will put the immersion on for half an hour to top it up before bedtime :lol: )
This afternoon we had a phone call from the insulation people to say they had had a cancellation, and they could do our loft insulation this afternoon if we wanted, so I said yes.
About an hour later a van arrived at the front gate with lots of bags of insulation and a machine for blowing it into the loft space
They went up and inspected all the openings in the attic walls and ceiling, and then said they doubted whether their blowing tube would stretch up that far!
However, they eventually managed it by putting it through one of the 1st floor windows 
and then straight up the stairwell to the top floor.
They said we should notice quite a difference when the really cold weather arrives!
